3rd Annual Golden Horseshoe Gobbler

The Golden Horseshoe Golf Club is happy to announce that the Gold Course will continue the tradition of hosting the Annual Golden Horseshoe Gobbler. Join us as we spice up the tournament with a new format,the four-person Cha Cha Cha. Each member of the team will play his or her ball throughout. Team scores are determined as follows:

  • On the first hole (cha), the lowest ball is counted as the team score.
  • On the second hole (cha cha), the two lowest balls count as the team score.
  • On the third hole (cha cha cha), the three lowest balls count as the team score.
  • The rotation starts over on the fourth hole.

The event will be post-flighted into multiple flights with team prizes awarded to for the top finishers. No handicapping; ANYONE can win! Prizes will also be awarded for on-course contests throughout the tournament. The entry fee for each person is ONLY $85 and will include the following:

  • Greens and golf cart fees
  • Unlimited range balls
  • Personalized cart signs, scorecards, and bag tags
  • Lunch
  • Post tournament snacks and beverages

Couples Invitational

November 2 & 3, 2009
Join us for the Couples Invitational at the Golden Horseshoe Golf Club! This tournament features a total of 36 holes of golf. The first of 18-hole round will be captain’s choice format with gross and net scores. The second 18 holes will be four-ball (two-person best ball), with the team’s gross and net scores used to determine winners. Each team consists of two people and competitors will be matched on the basis of each team’s handicap. For information, call (757) 220-7696.

Fall Military Invitational

November 14 & 15, 2009
Celebrate the military this fall. The Fall Military Tournament will consist of 36 holes played on the Green Course. Saturday’s format will be captain’s choice and Sunday’s will be four-ball (two-person, best ball). Handicaps will be used to determine Saturday’s pairings. Flights will be determined by Saturday’s scores. For information, call (757) 220-7696.
